Our ETA UK refund policy

Our commitment to transparency

At Etauk.com, transparency and customer satisfaction are our priority.

This page is designed to help you understand refund conditions before using our service.

Refund eligibility depends on the stage your application has reached and the circumstances of your request. Find out more here.

Who we are and our role

ETA UK is a private, independent application service. We’re not affiliated with the UK Government.

All ETA decisions are made by government authorities. We do not directly issue or approve electronic travel authorisations.

Our role is to support travellers through:

  • Application review
  • Submission assistance
  • Ongoing customer support

This helps reduce mistakes and improve accuracy, but it does not guarantee approval.

How the ETA UK application process works

Each application follows a clear process. Refund eligibility depends on where the application is currently at in this process.

Here’s the process:

  1. You submit your ETA application through our online form

  2. Our team reviews the information for common errors

  3. Application is submitted to UK authorities

  4. Status updates are sent to you by email

Important: Once an application has been reviewed and submitted, refund options may be limited.

Refund eligibility

In certain situations, a refund may be considered.

You may be eligible for a refund if:

  • You request cancellation before processing begins
  • There’s a technical issue that prevents submission
  • Your application is rejected by the government
  • You added our ETA insurance policy (see below)

Each situation is assessed based on the specific circumstances.

Unique benefit of applying with Etauk.com

If your application is rejected, you're eligible for a full refund of all fees upon request.

This option is not available when applying directly through government platforms. It’s an added benefit to applying with us.

Our ETA insurance add-on service

If you purchased the optional insurance service, refund requests must be submitted through our contact form.

To obtain an insurance refund, the following conditions must be met:

  • Travel is cancelled due to illness, transport cancellation, and other unforeseen events
  • The request is made within 120 days of payment confirmation
  • The request is submitted through the contact form

The following are not covered:

  • Flights, accommodation, or transport expenses
  • Any other travel-related costs

Insurance fees are not refundable once the service has been processed.

Non-refundable situations

Refunds are not always possible once processing has begun.

Refunds may not apply in the following cases:

  • Missing or incorrect information provided by the applicant
  • Changes to travel plans or personal circumstances
  • Applications that have already been reviewed and submitted (unless rejected)

Refunds depend on your specific circumstances. If you’re unsure whether you qualify, get in touch with our team.

Refund request processing times

Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of receiving the payment confirmation email.

If the request period is met, please bear the following in mind:

  • Requests are reviewed within 24 hours of receipt
  • You’re informed by email of the outcome
  • Approved refunds are issued within 72 hours
  • Refunds are processed using the original payment method
